In the context of the current development of the Global Compact on Migrants and the review of the Global Plan of Action to Combat Human Trafficking, this panel will address the cross-cutting nature of the causes of child trafficking within the broader 2030
Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will focus on strategies to prevent child trafficking by discussing the vulnerabilities of children at risk of being trafficked for the purpose of forced labour and sexual exploitation, as well as mitigating factors to address
and prevent these. Special consideration will be given to unaccompanied minors and homeless children and youth.
